  • Travencore is a Dominican Republic-based residential developer building Prestol Piantini, a tower in Santo Domingo, with development partner SYC.
  • Manual Excel cost control, spread across several files, made monthly reporting slow and easy to break with a single formula error.
  • Mastt centralized contracts, payment applications, and forecasts into one live source of truth.
  • Monthly cost reporting dropped from about a week to minutes, and Mastt flagged a US$20,000 overpayment before it was made.
  • Travencore is Mastt’s first client in the Dominican Republic.

Background

Travencore is a residential property developer in the Dominican Republic. Its cost function is led by Giannina “Gianny” Jiménez, an architect who works as the firm’s cost control manager. Travencore is running three developments at once, worth roughly US$100-120 million combined, with 15-20 people in the office and 40-50 on site.

Its flagship is Prestol Piantini, a large residential tower in Santo Domingo that Travencore is delivering with development partner SYC, now in the foundation phase. At this stage, with contracts being signed and early payments flowing, tight cost control matters most.

“The biggest value is confidence. I trust the numbers, and I can see the full picture at any moment, so I can make better decisions faster.”

Challenge: Spreadsheets That Couldn't Keep Up

Spreadsheets could not keep pace with a US$100 million portfolio. Travencore ran its cost control in Excel, and the numbers lived across several files at once. Producing one report meant opening multiple documents and reconciling them by hand.

“The reason I started looking for software like Mastt was the complexity of the project and how big the budget was. We couldn’t do this with basic spreadsheets.”
- Giannina Jiménez

Building the monthly report took two to three days of work and checking, then another day or two to format and deliver it to stakeholders.

“Before Mastt, we managed all our cost control in Excel files. At first, it worked, but the project is big and complex, and everything was manual. One small error could affect the whole report.”
- Giannina Jiménez

With the data scattered, checking how much had been committed or spent on any one contract took time and pulled in several departments, exactly the visibility a live project needs on demand.

Solution: Cost, Contracts, and Reporting in One Platform

Mastt brought budgets, contracts, payment applications, change orders, and forecasts into one system, with live dashboards over the top. Its AI reads each contract and lifts the data across automatically, so nothing is keyed in by hand.

“The AI feature, which reads the contracts and extracts the information. It’s fantastic.”
- Giannina Jiménez

Gianny weighed Mastt against a traditional ERP that would have needed months of training for the whole team. Mastt was up and running in a day, the pricing scaled to the project budget, and the support convinced her.

“I needed a software that was easy to use but also really powerful. The onboarding was super fast, and the support was phenomenal.”
- Giannina Jiménez

Contracts, payments, and forecasts are the features she uses most, with preset dashboards giving her the numbers at a glance. Instead of rebuilding a report each month, she keeps a live one open all day.

“I don’t even have to do a report anymore. I have my report set up all day, and I’m looking at it, updated. That’s a game changer.”

Impact: Building the Cost Report From a Week to Minutes

Cost reports are now live and always current, instead of being rebuilt from scratch each month.

“That information I have within seconds. Before Mastt, it used to take me one week to gather all that info. That’s been one of the biggest impacts.”
- Giannina Jiménez

The same speed reaches approvals, where an AI payment review now does the checking that once tied up her team for days.

“A payment review or a contract review that used to take us a couple of days or a couple of hours is basically done within minutes.”
- Giannina Jiménez

Mastt also caught a US$20,000 overpayment before it went out. The team traced it to a payment registered the previous year, which the old year-by-year Excel files would have missed. The platform also surfaced budget gaps that Travencore is now closing by aligning contracts to a detailed work breakdown structure from each contractor.

“A couple of weeks ago, we prevented an overpayment because of Mastt. It was around twenty thousand.”
- Giannina Jiménez

No payment deadlines have been missed since the switch. Stakeholders can see how much has been contracted, paid, and committed at any time.

Setting the Standard for the Region

For a developer spending their own capital, the real proof of a cost tool is whether the person relying on it would stake their name on it.

“I would recommend Mastt to any team that wants better cost control and clear, professional reporting.”
- Giannina Jiménez

As Mastt’s first client in the Dominican Republic, Gianny also sees it setting a standard for the wider region.

“I feel proud to bring this tool to the Caribbean. Our region has a lot to offer, and projects here deserve this level of technology.”
- Giannina Jiménez
